Insurance & Billing

 

East Hill participates in a variety of insurance plans included, but not limited to, those listed below. All co-payments are expected at the time of services. If East Hill does not participate with your insurance carrier, payment is expected at the time of service.

We offer payment arrangements as well as a Sliding Fee Discount Program for those who are income eligible. If you are uninsured or underinsured, EHMC can connect you to an insurance navigator.  For additional information or to speak with a billing representative, please contact 315.253.8477, and select 7.

Transparency is important to East Hill Medical Center. Patients who use our extended care services during evening hours or on holidays when we are open may incur a small additional charge from their insurance company. Our sliding-fee scale program provides routine medical care at a low cost. Eligibility for the program is based on your household income. We also offer payment plans. Don’t let financial considerations stop you from getting the care you need. Call us and see how we can help.


 

Good Faith Estimate of Medical Care Cost

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
